Serenity Park is a 16.79 acre park located in Southwest Mckinney. Mckinney is in northern Collin County, 30 miles north of Dallas Texas. Serenity Park is a rectangular park with a meandering creek running South to North bordering the East side of the park. The creek lies in a creek bed about 14 ft deep. The depth of the water is 4 inches. The creek bed is surrounded by large trees and flora. There is a metal bridge that allows you to cross over the creek. The water enters the park through a drainage culvert under Eldorado street. It exits through a drainage culvert under Berkshire street on the north side of the park. The west side of the park is where the schools and grassy areas are located. There is a pond about 9 feet deep with a dock that has drainage pipes and culverts underneath. There is a playground on the north side of the park with a play structure and one picnic table. There are to baseball / softball backstops and an open area for football and soccer practice. There is a hiking and biking trail with sub-grade crossing. There also 21 parking spaces near the playground (north side). There are no restrooms. The entire park is visited by local citizens and approximately 25-100 students to and from school daily in the mornings and afternoons.
